Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated 7 August 2026
If you're a business using Followpoint
You can pause or cancel your service yourself from your dashboard at any time. To request full deletion of your account and all data tied to it — your business profile, connected WhatsApp number details, customer/lead records, message history, and settings — email followpoint3@gmail.com from the email address on your account. We'll confirm the request and let you know once it's done — normally within a few business days. Payment records are kept a bit longer where Nigerian tax and accounting rules require it, but everything else is removed.
If you're a customer who's messaged a Followpoint business on WhatsApp
If a business using Followpoint has your phone number, name, or message history in their dashboard because you messaged them on WhatsApp, you can ask for that removed in either of two ways:
- Ask the business directly — they can delete your lead record from their own dashboard, or ask us to do it on their behalf.
- Contact us directly — email followpoint3@gmail.com with the phone number you messaged from and, if you know it, which business's WhatsApp number you contacted. We'll locate and remove the record and confirm once it's done.
What "deletion" actually removes
Deleting a business account removes that business's profile, their customers' lead and message records, their WhatsApp connection details (including the stored access token, which we also revoke on Meta's side where possible), and their settings. Deleting a single customer's record removes their lead entry and message history from that business's dashboard. In both cases, payment records tied to a completed transaction are kept for the period Nigerian tax law requires, with everything else removed — we'll tell you plainly if that applies to your request.
